Game Design: Ages 9 to 16

Who doesn’t love games? Whether it’s a crossword puzzle in the morning paper, a puzzle game on your mobile phone, a card game that you play with friends, a role-playing game on your computer, or any of the other countless forms they can take, most people enjoy at least one kind of game. All games share certain principles, fundamental concepts that make them fun and engaging for their players.
 
Campers will learn the rules and guidelines that make up the foundation of game design illustrated through card and board games. By the end of the camp, students will have the opportunity to create and take home their very own game to share with family and friends.
